The last three months haven’t been easy for anyone. And children aren’t the exception. Some have been stuck at home, unable to interact with their friends or even visit grandparents. Those who have been going to school, have had to adapt to a completely new system without any notice.
Sure, they may have had bad days, but who doesn’t? Even under ‘normal’ circumstances, we all have days when we don’t feel up for anything. But what’s truly evident out of this pandemic, is that our children are incredibly resilient. They take on any challenge like true superheroes.
Now that schools are due to open for all children in England we thought it would be a great opportunity to highlight the incredible achievement of schooling during a pandemic. Whether that means following lessons from the kitchen table or at half-empty classrooms. A celebration of our children and their incredible strength.
And of course, parents and teachers deserve just as much credit. So why not mark this special occasion celebrating together – while following lockdown restrictions of course. In our house, we’ll probably have a tea party, with lots of yummy treats and a mini ceremony for our children. It doesn’t have to be fancy. The idea is simply to share the love.
