An immersive science experience from home

5 morning of awesome science live in your living room!

Each session lasts 45 minutes, from 9:15 to 10:00 am.

Ages: All Ages (5+ years recommended for those taking part)

Beware!! The Halloween Trail is lurking and ready to scare the fangs off Dracula, the spook out of the Ghosts and the Evil from the witch! Join us for some creepy challenges and gruesome activities if you dare! There are a lot of tricks on this activity day that you can enjoy as a family. Fancy dress is encouraged!

Halloween Scavenger Hunt at The Dolphin Centre

From Wednesday 28 October to Friday 30 October, from 10 am to 3 pm. 

Forest Holme Hospice welcomes you to take part in their spooky scavenger hunt at the Dolphin Centre in Poole. Find the Halloween painted pebbles hidden in 15 store windows across the centre.

Return a correct entry and collect a bag of sweets! Collect an entry form from the Eco Hub situated on the first floor of the Dolphin Centre. All entries will be in with a chance to win a Halloween Hamper. The winner will be picked at random on 30 October. All proceeds donated to Forest Holme Hospice.

This Halloween, you will only find treats at Monkey World- no tricks!
That’s because on the 31st October we are giving away a FREE PLAYinChoc box to every child in full Halloween fancy dress!

Go Wild at Ranger Den

Go Wild at Ranger Den

Join our Rangers for a one-hour guided show and tell of Ranger Den at Moors Valley (24 October – 1 November). Some of our family favourites such as the Harvest mice, Grass snake and Frogs are joined by new displays including Microworld looking at life in miniature, and an assortment of carnivorous plants! Ending with a fun craft activity and a badge. Activities are aimed at children aged 5 – 11 years old. £5 per person and a maximum of 5 visitors per session. Pre-booking is essential due to COVID-secure guidelines.

Spooky Woodland Walk Trail

Come along and explore our Spooky Woodland Walk this October half term…if you dare!
Why not come dressed in your favourite Halloween costume and pick up a trail sheet from reception. Trail sheets are only £2 per child and include as a prize, a bag of Halloween treats. The trail will lead you through the Spooky Woodland Walk where there are 8 silly ghouls to find. Find them all and collect your prize!

Come and explore Autumn at RSPB Arne with the wild woodland trails in search of stick skeletons, fascinating facts, and hidden pumpkins. Pick up a Halloween trail leaflet (and a small prize!) from the welcome area and follow our self-guided trail. You can even vote for your favourite spooky carved pumpkin!

Come along to our slime-making sessions 11-3pm
After your visit, pop up to our café for some seasonal autumnal recipes and Halloween treats.
