A brand new family storytelling show devised by Brave Bold Drama theatre company, Sticky Ends: The Spooky Edition will see there are plenty of gentle thrills and chills in store this Halloween when it plays Lighthouse, Poole’s centre for the arts, on Thursday 31 October.
Expect comic cautionary stories and songs for modern children with the spirit of the Halloween season firmly in mind.
Although sometimes gently gruesome, there’s nothing scary to alarm small ones. Instead, there’s lots of silliness, surprises and chances to join in, and as a bonus extra, each show features a brand new story inspired by ideas suggested by the young audiences. Never again will children eat too many trick-or-treat sweets or see carved pumpkin heads in quite the same way!
Why is it called Sticky Ends?
Because each story or song is a warning of what might happen if you do really bad stuff, like eat too many trick-or-treat sweets or pick your nose in public. Yes, that’s right, you’ll come to a sticky end!
Why is it the Spooky Edition?
The idea of a storytelling show for Halloween has emerged from an original storytelling show called simply Sticky Ends, which is all about what might happen if you do really bad stuff at any time of year. So to make it clear that this is the Halloween-themed show, it’s called Sticky Ends: The Spooky Edition.
